Uleam academic contribution for tourist reactivation and empowerment of the canton of Manta against the Covid19 pandemic

Resumen

La presente investigación tiene como objetivo conocer el aporte académico de la Universidad Laica Eloy Alfaro de Manabí para la reactivación y empoderamiento turístico del cantón Manta frente a la pandemia COVID-19. Para este estudio se aplicó una metodología de tipo bibliográfica donde a través del razonamiento crítico se contrastaron las actuales acciones que se aplican por parte del gobierno local y central en el sector turístico y las actividades que se desarrollan desde la academia para conocer posibles efectos o resultados que se pueden generar en el posicionamiento continuo de la marca ciudad a través de videos de promoción turística, desarrollados por estudiantes y docentes de la Facultad de Ciencias Administrativas en coordinación con el GAD Manta, lo que ha permitido a estudiantes poner en práctica conocimientos adquiridos en clases y aplicarlos en este sector para forjar beneficios a la ciudad y toda la cadena de valor del turismo.   Palabras Claves: Turismo, pandemia, declaratorias estatales, empoderamiento turístico y academia   Abstract The objective of this research is to know the academic contribution of the Universidad Laica Eloy Alfaro de Manabí for the reactivation and empowerment of tourism in the Manta Canton in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. For this study, a bibliographic-type methodology will be applied where through critical reasoning the current actions that are applied by the local and central government in the tourism sector will be contrasted and the activities that are developed from the academy to know possible effects or results. that can be generated in the continuous positioning of the city brand through tourism promotion videos, developed by students and teachers of the Faculty of Administrative Sciences in coordination with the GAD Manta, which has allowed students to put into practice knowledge acquired in classes and apply them in this sector to forge benefits for the city and the entire tourism value chain.   Key Words: Tourism, pandemic, state declaration, tourism empowerment and academia
