de desarrollo personal y profesional (Clavijo y Bautista,
2020).
Además, se han implementado programas de becas y ayudas
económicas para estudiantes de bajos recursos, con el n de
garantizar que la falta de recursos no sea un obstáculo para
acceder a la educación superior. Estas becas cubren los gastos
de matrícula, alojamiento, transporte y alimentación, entre
otros aspectos, lo que permite que más estudiantes puedan
acceder y permanecer en la educación superior (Ayala, 2020).
En cuanto a la inclusión de género, se han promovido
políticas para fomentar la participación de las mujeres en
áreas tradicionalmente dominadas por hombres, como las
ciencias, la ingeniería y la tecnología. Se han implementado
acciones armativas, como la creación de programas de
mentoría, redes de apoyo y espacios seguros, para promover
la igualdad de oportunidades y combatir los estereotipos de
género en la educación superior.
En relación con la inclusión de grupos étnicos, se han
fortalecido los programas de educación intercultural bilingüe,
con el objetivo de preservar y valorar la diversidad cultural
del país. Se han establecido convenios con comunidades
indígenas y afroecuatorianas para promover la participación
de sus miembros en la educación superior, así como el
desarrollo de investigaciones y proyectos que contribuyan
al reconocimiento y respeto de sus conocimientos y saberes
ancestrales.
En términos de inclusión de personas con discapacidad, se
han adaptado las infraestructuras y se han creado servicios
de apoyo y acompañamiento, como intérpretes de lengua de
señas, materiales en formatos accesibles y tecnologías de
apoyo. Además, se han establecido políticas de sensibilización
y concientización para promover la inclusión y eliminar las
barreras que enfrentan las personas con discapacidad en el
ámbito educativo.
La educación superior ecuatoriana ha avanzado
signicativamente en términos de inclusión. A través de
políticas y programas enfocados en el acceso equitativo,
la igualdad de oportunidades y el reconocimiento de la
diversidad, se ha buscado garantizar que todos los estudiantes
puedan acceder, participar y beneciarse de la educación
superior, independientemente de sus características personales
(Castillo et. al, 2022).
Es importante seguir trabajando en la mejora continua
de estos esfuerzos y en la identicación y eliminación de
cualquier barrera adicional que aún exista.
Si bien es cierto que Ecuador ha avanzado signicativamente,
se precisa de capacitación y educación continua en materia
de necesidades educativas especícas asociadas, para la
inclusión de los estudiantes que tienen alguna discapacidad,
como por ejemplo:
• Discapacidad visual: Los estudiantes con
discapacidad visual pueden necesitar materiales educativos
en formato accesible, como libros en braille o audiolibros.
También pueden requerir apoyos adicionales, como el uso
de tecnología asistiva, la adaptación de materiales visuales
a formatos táctiles o el apoyo de personal especializado en
orientación y movilidad.
• Discapacidad auditiva: Los estudiantes con
discapacidad auditiva pueden necesitar intérpretes de lenguaje
de señas o sistemas de amplicación de sonido en el aula.
También pueden requerir materiales educativos adaptados,
como textos escritos o subtítulos en videos, y estrategias de
enseñanza visual que faciliten la comprensión (Muntaner et.
al. 2022).
• Discapacidad motora: Los estudiantes con
discapacidad motora pueden necesitar adaptaciones en el
entorno físico, como rampas de acceso, espacios accesibles
y mobiliario ergonómico. También pueden requerir apoyos
técnicos, como sillas de ruedas o dispositivos de asistencia
para la comunicación, así como estrategias pedagógicas
adaptadas que permitan su participación activa en el aula.
• Trastornos del espectro autista (TEA): Los
estudiantes con TEA pueden requerir entornos estructurados
y predecibles, apoyos visuales, estrategias de comunicación
alternativa o aumentativa, y una atención especializada en el
desarrollo de habilidades sociales y emocionales (González
et. al, 2022). Además, pueden beneciarse de adaptaciones
curriculares y programas individualizados que se ajusten a
sus necesidades especícas (Valdivieso et. al. 2022).
• Discapacidad intelectual: Los estudiantes con
discapacidad intelectual pueden necesitar adaptaciones
curriculares que se ajusten a su nivel de desarrollo y
capacidades, así como estrategias pedagógicas diferenciadas
y apoyos adicionales, como la utilización de materiales
concretos y actividades prácticas para facilitar la comprensión
(Perera y Moriño, 2022).
• Estos son solo algunos ejemplos de las necesidades
educativas especícas que pueden estar asociadas a diferentes
tipos de discapacidades. Es importante tener en cuenta que
cada estudiante es único y puede tener requerimientos
particulares que necesiten ser identicados y abordados de
manera individualizada para garantizar su participación plena
y equitativa en el proceso educativo (Rodríguez et. al, 2022).
Las necesidades educativas especícas que no están
directamente asociadas a la discapacidad pueden incluir
una variedad de aspectos que requieren atención y apoyo
adicional en el entorno educativo. Algunos ejemplos de estas
necesidades educativas especícas son:
• Dicultades de aprendizaje: Los estudiantes con
dicultades de aprendizaje pueden necesitar estrategias de
enseñanza diferenciadas, adaptaciones curriculares, apoyos
adicionales como tutorías o programas de intervención
temprana, y evaluaciones formativas para monitorear su
progreso y ajustar las estrategias de enseñanza.
• Alta capacidad o talento excepcional: Los
estudiantes con habilidades o talentos excepcionales pueden
requerir programas educativos enriquecidos, oportunidades
de aprendizaje avanzadas, proyectos de investigación,
